NāNo Gallery presents ‘From The Dungula To The Birrarung’ by @grumpyENOKi.
This month, NāNo Gallery presents a lively collection of small painted creatures by ENOKi, a proud Djaara, Yorta Yorta, Wemba Wemba and Gunai/Kurnai multi-media artist living and creating on Wurundjeri Country. Across vivid turquoise panels, fish, turtles, eels and crustaceans appear among rippling purple lines, net-like patterns and loose hand-drawn marks. ENOKi’s broader practice explores Blakness and Queerness through pop-inspired colour, native flora and public storytelling, this collection offers a more intimate glimpse into the river systems that surround us.
This exhibition will run through until the end of the month.
