<p>Upon its launch, Paloma Paloma set out to transform the Sunshine Coast as an iconic hotel, hospitality and residential precinct, redefining resort-style living in the heart of Caloundra – a holiday makers paradise. This project was different. Totally unexpected. Absolutely exceptional.</p>
<p>Working within the permitted envelope, Decibel Architecture carefully reimagined the site, connecting with the street and delivering a totally new lifestyle, hotel, residential and hospitality experience.</p>
<p>Alongside the development team and delivery experts, Decibel Architecture brought a fresh and generous perspective to the Caloundra identity, creating a brilliant and intriguing energy to shape Paloma Paloma’s future as a new benchmark of excellence.</p>

<h6>Inspiration</h6>
<p>The architecture was inspired by the rocky headlands of Caloundra, the rockpools, marbled tidal ledges and the weathered curvature of sand, sea-worn stones and dunes.</p>
<p>Undulating balconies flow like the sea edge, retracting in and out with the rushing tide. Texturally finished by the concrete formwork, the raw edges become a rocky cliff face, softened by the green planted edge.</p>
<p>Caloundra’s laid-back, beach identity was reflected in the interior materials choices, selecting a curated collection of unique fixtures and fittings, crafted for the Paloma lifestyle. A collage of raw and robust white concrete paired with the finest of linens and layers, cool solids, warm textures, and designer fabrics, unifying the ease of beachfront living with subtle luxuries.</p>
<h6>Transformative</h6>
<p>Paloma Paloma made its mark on the township of Caloundra in the form of the bold transformation of the site and existing buildings into a major art installation.</p>
<p>During the showroom period, the precinct was home to a series of playful community events, celebrations, arthouse shows and unexpected experiences.</p>

<p>Consisting of a selection of individually crafted sky homes with personal balcony pools, and brilliant two, three and four-bedroom dwellings that are all the best room in the house, Paloma Paloma featured uncompromised amenity, resort style living and exceptionally refreshing planning that connects people to nature.</p>
<p>Paloma Paloma was woven from unexpected delights. From the outdoor bathing gardens through to the brilliant sky home kitchens, Paloma Paloma was built from careful attention to moments that bring joy to the every-day.</p>
